Some Tips on How not to get Banned by Twitter

Twitter has been having a problem of late with Spammers filling up the tweets with junk and sending friend requests using Automated software. They have taken the Ban Hammer to a number of accounts learn how to avoid the Twitter Ban Hammer and take note from my experiences falling foul :-)

That is the notification that will appear to your account when you log in once your account has been banned. Twitter is getting so much strict this days because of so much spam that is flooding it and if they will not take action, in just a matter of time Twitter will totally lost it's value and will just be considered a social media full of spams. I've tried some experiment and all in all I've lost 20 accounts, but still not quite 100% sure on how you will be considered as a spammer and get banned.

In my first 10 accounts as a newbie in twitter, I just followed some guide on how to get lots of followers in twitter. I am using software that will automate following people on Twitter. On that first 10 account I blast 300 follows everyday. The first day I blast out to follow 300 people, 5 accounts has been ban immediately. So I tried to follow less in the following day like 150 per account. Then after 3 days all of the remaining 5 accounts got banned.

LESSON I'VE LEARNED:
  • Following so many people in one day looks a bit spammy, try just following 100 people a day if you have the patience of waiting.
  • This is really one of my fault and I'm sure it is. I'm updating status with time interval so that's not a problem. The problem is even when I have time interval in updating my status, I do post 2-3 update status with no time interval. This is really what you call spam. Can't explain it clearer but hope you got my point. So my advice here is updating your status with proper time interval like 1 update per hour.
  • Also don't just post your affiliate link or ads, sometimes post something that will really look like an update of your status. Like "Summer is coming, beach here I come". Twitter loves noise, but don't like spam.
After this happens, I do a little research on "how not to get banned by twitter" and I've come up to this guide.

That was an article written by John Carnell and I suggest you read it. It will help you a lot in avoiding to get banned by twitter.

After reading that article I am confident that I know how not to get banned by twitter. So again I created 10 profile and use my software to follow people. I've lessen my following and just made it to 100 a day/per account. Also I didn't yet post any update status to make sure my account will be safe. But after 3days again all of my account has been banned (Don't think reading that article I suggest is nonsense cause I've also been ban, every information their was so useful I am telling you. Take a look and you will be the one who can judge).

LESSON I'VE LEARNED FOR THE 2ND TIME:
  • Ok I've been very careful. Just following 100 people a day, I don't post any updates but what seems to be the problem why am I still get banned? Here is the reason I think. Recently I've just read on some article that twitter will also consider you spammer when you are following a lot of people at the same time you don't have much followers. Did you get my point? Of course if I am following 100 people a day but only 10 or 20 is following me back, in 3days I will be following 300 people but only 30-60 people is following me back. So much difference in your following and followers. That's why be very careful on this.
  • I have figured out some solution to this that maybe will work or maybe not. I still have to test this but don't have much time at the moment. Maybe you can try this one. Ok let's say this is your first day on twitter and you blast out 100 following people, Here is the trick that I figure out: the next day before you blast out again following 100 people, Unfollow first all of those who are not following you. Let's say on the first day out of 100 you follow, 25 of that follow you back , so before following 100 people again on the second day, remove first the 75 people who did not follow you back. That way the difference of the one you follow and following you will not be in so much difference. There are many free websites even software on the Internet that will automate the Unfollowing of people who don't follow you.
  • As I've said this is still just an Idea and I didn't yet have the time to test this out. But hope someone can test this and post the result on comment. You can also have your own experiment on how not to get banned on twitter.
